Our Indoor Studio

  • Please bring a yoga mat, or you can rent one at the Studio for $1 per class.

  • We also sell yoga mats for $25.

  • Please do not wear heavy scents or perfumes.

  • Dress comfortably for yoga.

  • Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow for Yoga Nidra.

  • Please bring a yoga mat and a small towel for Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga.

  • Please see Fees & Services for class prices and policies (click on bold link for quick access).

  • Pre-Register for Crystal Bowls classes and Medical Qigong.

  • All other classes are just walk in.  

  • Classes start promptly as scheduled, and then the door is locked.  Please arrive early for class.

  • Bring water.

  • Please let the instructor know of any health concerns, injury, pain or if you are pregnant.

Guidelines and Recommendations:

Let your practice meet you where you are, don't push or strain.  Remember this is your practice, honor your body and don't force your body to someone else's pose. This is your personal practice, all bodies are different.  Modify when you need to, rest when you need to and challenge yourself if you are able.

Some Things to Remember About Yoga Etiquette

We strive to make Loving Light Yoga  a safe, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere for everyone that comes in through our doors. We hope for everyone to find a place of peace.

These are a few gentle reminders as we all play a part in the energy that we bring into a space: 

  • Leave shoes in the lobby cubbies

  • Turn off cell phones and set smart watches to theater mode before entering studio space

  • Keep voices soft in studio space

  • Refrain from using perfumes and scented lotions

  • Walk through studio space mindfully, avoid stepping on other students' mats

  • Be mindful of your prop space and of those around you


Let go of expectations, judgment or competition.  Stay present in the moment and use your most powerful tool, your breath, to help you ease into a pose, surrender into sensations, relax and let go.   Move slowly and at your own pace, notice all sensations and breathe.

Enjoy your practice and remember —  yoga is supposed to be fun!

Cancellation Policy

Many of our classes are full during season. Pre-registration for specified classes is mandatory so that we can comfortably accommodate all students while maintaining the sacred space.

 

If you have pre-registered and need to cancel, please do so by calling or texting Lata via 239-280-6745 at least two hours before class (click on bold link for quick access).

Thank you for honoring our cancellation policy.  We prepare the room for the number we have registered, and others may be on a waiting list.

Our Outdoor Studio

 

  • Community Beach Yoga is at Englewood Public Beach Park at the North End across the street from the Waverley Restaurant on Manasota Key on Beach Road.

  • Beach Yoga is a Sliding Scale Donation of $5 and up.  Loving Light Yoga pays a monthly fee to Charlotte County, which gives us Vendor status and allows us to teach classes on the beach.  Your donations help to offset these costs as well as help to defray costs associated with equipment and insurance.  Donations also allow us to provide yoga classes to families who might not be able to afford it, giving the gift of yoga to Every Body!
